Powder coating is a process whereby loose polymer granules (in powder form) are sprayed onto metal parts. This powder sticks to the parts because it is electrostatically charged during spraying, but at this stage the powder still rests loosely on the surface and can easily be wiped off.
In order to make the coating permanent, the parts must be baked so that the powder granules can melt and fuse together, giving you an even coating.
Virtually any metal parts can be powder coated, in just about any colour.
